Gram flour(besan) Laddoo with rock sugar

Ingredients:
4 cups of thick gram flour
1.25 cup desi ghee
2 cups powdered rock sugar (dhaga/thread mishri)
1 tsp cardamom powder

Method:

Rock sugar (dhaga/thread mishri) is unrefined sugar and is available in crystal form. Grind it in the mixer to get powdered sugar.

On a low flame, dry roast gram flour for around 10 mins stirring continuously till it changes color and gives a nice aroma. 

Add ghee and keep stirring continuously for another 7-8 mins on a low flame until the ghee sepeartes. 

Add cardamom powder, stir, and switch off the flame. Let it cool for 10-15 mins till it becomes warm. Add powdered rock sugar and mix well. 

Make round-shaped laddoos, greasing the palms is not required as the ghee in laddoos will not let it stick to the palms.

Store the laddoos in an airtight container after they have cooled completely.
